Carol Sue Higdon of Round Rock passed away. She was the daughter of the Ray Parrishes. Services are at 2 o’clock on Saturday, February 6th at the First Baptist Church of Cross Plains. Interment will be at the Cottonwood Cemetery.

Carol "Sue" Higdon, age 70, beloved mother passed away January 30, 2010 after a decade long battle with Alzheimer's in Round Rock, TX. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Cross Plains with Ronnie B. White officiating; burial will follow in the Cottonwood Cemetery.
She was born July 9, 1939 in Sweetwater to Ray and Mary (Pennell) Parrish. She married Robert W. Higdon. "Sue" was an avid educator; she received her masters in both English and Costuming at the University of Alamosa, CO. She taught high school and college until retirement in 1993 in Corpus Christi, TX. She was known for her unique style and reflections of life. She loved rock n roll, walking on the beach, Shakespeare, and shopping.
She is survived by her two sons, Robby Higdon of Tennessee; Craig Higdon of Buda, TX; daughter, Melissa Higdon Metcalf of Cedar Park, TX; mother, Mary Parrish of Cross Plains, TX; brother, Bobby Wayne Parrish of Odessa, TX; sister, Mary Ann Hargis of Arlington, two grandchildren and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Parrish and husband.
