Hill, Sharyn Tucker

Sharyn Tucker Hill, age 62, of Cross Plains, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at her home in Cottonwood.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Cross Plains with Ronnie B. White officiating, assisted by Charles Chesshir.

Burial followed in the Cottonwood Cemetery under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home of Cross Plains.
She was born in Odessa, Texas on May 24, 1947 to Nash and Phyllis (Wood) Tucker, Jr. After graduation she went to college and got her RN Degree. She married Robert "Bob" Hill, Sr. in 1981 in Rising Star. Sharyn worked as a nurse for 35 years, until her health no longer allowed. She and her family moved to the Cottonwood area in 1979. She was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Cross Plains. Survivors include her sons, Landon Hill and wife feneal of Stephenville; Deron Duffy of Arlington; and Robert Hill, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Nashville, TN; her mother, Phyllis Tucker of Cross Plains; aunt, Esther Kerr of Cross Plains; sister, Susan Maddox and husband Danny of Abilene; niece and nephews, Melanie Besecker and husband Tom, Chris Maddox and Barry Brasher; great-nieces, Danielle, Hallie and Cassidy; grandchildren, Robert, Gabriel and Laura, all of Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by husband, Bob Hill, and father, Nash Tucker, Jr.
