Claudell Joy passed away July 7

Arvil Claudell Joy 79 died Wednesday, July 7, 2009 at a Abilene Hospital. Services will be Sunday July 12, 2009 at 3:00 in the Cottonwood Baptist Church.

Mr. Joy was born July 19, 1929 in Cottonwood to Claude Joy and Ruth Kaiser Joy and lived in Callahan County all his life. He owned and operated the Joy Packing Plant in Clyde for many years and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by a daughter Diane Green, two sons Jimmy Joy and wife Beckey, Jackie Joy and wife Sue, a sister Jeanelle Purvis and husband Richard, six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
